UAE Visa Photo Converter (GDRFA / ICP)

Crop, resize and compress your photo to common GDRFA Dubai or ICP visa photo specs โ€” entirely in your browser, nothing uploaded.

โš ๏ธ Before you rely on this: The pixel dimensions and file-size targets below are the specs most commonly reported for GDRFA and ICP digital uploads, not numbers quoted on an official government page we could directly verify. The composition rules (background, face size, photo age) come from ICP's own published Personal Photo Specifications and are solid. Always check the exact limit shown on your specific upload screen before submitting โ€” it can vary by service.

JPG or PNG, one photo at a time
Best-effort only โ€” works for a slightly off-white or cream backdrop under even lighting. It can't fix shadows, a busy background, or a wall that isn't actually light-colored. For a reliable result, take the photo against a real plain white or light wall.

These composition rules come directly from ICP's (Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs & Port Security) official Personal Photo Specifications document:

  • Taken within the last 6 months
  • 35โ€“40mm wide when printed, with your face filling 70โ€“80% of the frame
  • Plain, light-colored background โ€” no shadows, patterns, or other objects
  • Facing the camera directly, neutral expression, mouth closed
  • Eyes open and clearly visible, no hair across them
  • Natural skin tone, even lighting, no flash glare or red-eye
  • No head covering unless for religious reasons โ€” and even then, your face from chin to forehead must be fully visible
  • Glasses are fine if there's no glare and the frames don't cover your eyes; no tinted lenses
  • You alone in the frame โ€” no other people, toys, or chair backs visible

GDRFA vs. ICP โ€” which one applies to me?

ICP Smart ServicesAbu Dhabi, Sharjah, Ajman, Ras Al Khaimah, Fujairah, Umm Al Quwain1016 ร— 1300 px

If you're not sure which applies to you, use the ICP preset โ€” it's higher resolution, and it's easy to shrink a large sharp image down for GDRFA, but you can't enlarge a small one without losing quality.

Why do some sites quote 35ร—45mm and others 43ร—55mm?

Both genuinely appear across sources. 35ร—45mm (in the ICP document above) lines up with the standard ICAO passport-photo width; 43ร—55mm shows up more often on Dubai-visa-specific guidance. Since we can't fully reconcile the two from an official page, match what stays consistent everywhere instead: the 70-80% face framing and the plain light background. Those two matter more than the millimeter figure.

Is my photo uploaded anywhere?

No. Cropping, resizing and compression all happen locally in your browser using JavaScript โ€” your photo is never sent to a server.
